The Speed of Construction in Vegas: Final Project Revisions

For those who already have begun looking at the site for the final project, as you may recall from the lectures and site photos, as of November 2012, there was nothing on the site.  Unfortunately the once vacant lot has now been built up to a shell of a building that is clearly a temporary infill commercial solution as it houses a Wallgreens and kitchy souvenir stores.  That said, we will continue to pursue the site based upon the following parameters:
a) the building does not exist and the site data remains the same as outlined in the brief
b) the build-to heights adopted by the new building intervention are appropriate for your design
c) the skywalks and escalators from the south side of Harmon (Harley Davidson side) and across Las Vegas Boulevard are to be retained however the landing and accommodations to the building may change
d) ground plane access is to be fenced off as per the current situation (only recently has the city decided to build the skywalks to reduce the number of fatalities on the Strip
