Studying and Enjoying Las Vegas

On Monday we toured the Springs Preserve in Nevada and were given an extremely detailed and thorough tour by Jeff Roberts from Lucchesi Galati who also happens to be the current president of the Las Vegas AIA Chapter.  Covering everything from biomimetics, local construction practice, and sustainable design principles, students were able to learn a great deal from the day's events.
While at the Springs Preserve, students also had a chance to learn about local ecosystems and even the Hoover Dam.
Of course, when traveling in Vegas it proves to be far more appropriate to take cost-effective transport...
And then the collective had a great opportunity to hold a class meeting and dinner at Treasure Island's Buffet.
During the dinner students were able to recount everything they had accomplished, visited, and accumulated in the past day.
